Remembering back today on my very first destination wedding – it was on the other side of Mexico – Escondido side – oh it was so fun to play on the rocky shore….

hmmmm…. have I mentioned I am from the mountains…. it is part of my soul… every time I go back I get “happy tears” as my kids call them….  so when the amazing Kirstin & Greg asked me to go  capture their elopement in Banff…. hmmm… didn’t have to think any longer than 1 second before I replied right Kirstin?   So… flew to Calgary and this beautiful couple picked me up and we went “scouting”…. Kirstin is a totally talented photographer here in the city – her company is called Cattura Imagery….. so the two of teamed up (poor Greg) and went scouting….. 

The day of the wedding it was cool – it was a Wednesday in the middle of May… the lakes there were still frozen and there was still a little snow on the ground… the day of Wednesday came and it was raining on us here and there – umbrellas in hand we went and did images before their “ceremony” at the Cascade Gardens…  they then headed to dinner at the Rimrock – wow – I want to live there!!!!   This was such a fun day with another creative personality and open to so much…. “hey – can you stand out on that ledge of the cliff and do this?”  or “how about standing right next to the raging river???”  You guys were sooo wonderful – I feel so blessed to have clients like you in my world – thank you for sharing in your elopement and being your witness – I am blessed!!!!   Keep watch for the TTD we did at a old ghost coal town!!!

Swift Current – not too long ago – the flowers were coming up and with that a few showers – ending in huge amount of rain!!!  But – we had a blast – the bridal party were troopers – a great group to work with – Amanda & Chris – you guys were sooo much fun!!!!!   We headed down for a “interview” by Chris of his new bride in the radio station – too fun!!!   In the end we ended up running around under my diffusers and reflectors LOL!!!   Still love the shoes guys!!!!  Thanks for allowing me to be part of your special day!!!!  HUGS!

I had the most amazing day – a wedding in BANFF in the Cascade Gardens on a Wednesday (today)…. the best thing… just the beautiful couple and I – no one else (well… other than the comissioner lol!!)   It was so relaxed and free – stunning locations…. perfect weather and a couple who were game for anything!  I am a lucky girl!!!  Trash the Dress or Bridal Fashion session tomorrow!!!  Check this out as a sneak peek!  Thanks for stopping by!

…. well… sitting in the Houston airport…. what to do… play with images I just shot of the amazing Tanys & Aaron in the Mayan of course!  This is just a sneak peek of the images – more to come when I get to my work station…. but this is a teaser of what is so come!  We stayed at the fab Barcelo resort – and had a cooler (thank you GOD) wedding day!  Thanks to the great bridal party that supported these two great people – it was a honor to be part of their special day!

Meet Janelle & Aki – amazing wedding held at Elk Ridge 4 Season Golf Resort!  They had the perfect overcast warm day for their outdoor wedding!!!  Aki is a NHL hockey player from Finland and met the stunning Janelle in high school!  You guys were sooooo easy to work with – thank you so much for allowing me to capture your day for you!!!!   The beautiful decor/room and design was by the amazing and talented RSVP Event Planning - they rock!

Hey all – been crazy and need to get to posting… hopefully this will make up for it!!!  It was an amazing wedding at the Mariott in Kona on the Big Island in Hawaii!  Breanna & Ray choose the most amazing location – thanks again guys for the perfect locations to work with!  They got married at 10 am and after the family images gave me around 5 hours of “play” time for images – OOHHHH how I wish I always had that much time with my brides and grooms!!!

With this wedding – I was awarded Top Wedding Album in Canada, as well as Top Wedding Image and Judges Choice Awards – thank you to Breanna & Ray for not only allowing me to come to this amazing wedding – but to give me such time, and so much of themselves… your passion for life and eachother was so wonderful to capture – I am blessed!

Okay… once again… please indulge me with some posts from the past couple of months!  This fun couple and I met for the first time on their wedding day in Elkridge Resort!  They live in Iqaluit and all correspondence had to be done via the phone and email!  The morning of the wedding – I knock on Jillian’s room and this beautiful lady stands before me with the most fantastic smile and glow!  WOW – am I blessed to have the most amazing couples to work with!!!!  She and her ladies welcomed me into their room as they did their preparations for the ceremony….  it was so peaceful and fun – really – I have rarely seen more calm organized ladies the morning of the wedding!!!  It was not a cloud in the sky… cold… tons of snow… and AMAZING!!!!!
